I stopped by at the shop last night on the way home.
I was having 4 breads in a tray on my lap waiting in line.
A male shop staff found me and took my tray quickly. After I paid,
Shop staff: Paper bag or plastic bag?
Me: Plastic, please.
Shop Staff: Are you gonna hang it in the back (of wheelchair)?
Me: No, I’m gonna put it on my lap.
Shop Staff: Got it!
He used 2 plastic bags to make it stronger and put 4 breads and cream puffs (with box).
He organized very well to make me easier to carry the bag on my lap.
In Japan, shop staffs hardly ask customers about bag type (paper, plastic) when shopping.
I believe they don’t really think about how moon riders carry the bag on the way back.
Therefore I was so impressed that the shop staff at MAISON KAYSER did so great on the spot.
I don’t know what kind of customer service training MAISON KAYSER does, but other companies (shops) should learn from the company to give great customer service for moon riders. It’s just awesome!
