Hi, it’s Mizuki!
I visited San Francisco this month, and noticed something.
Actually I have been to San Francisco with my friend when I was a student in Wisconsin.
That was 8 years ago.
I remembered that there were many beautiful places, accessible trains, yummy food…
All great memories.
But this time, I saw some negative sides too.
Especially I was very shocked when I took a elevator and train.
I thought they were very clean 8 years ago, but now quite dirty.
My American friend who has come to Japan said,
“This elevator is dirtier than the dirtiest one in Japan.”
I laughed, and felt that “…Maybe that’s right.”
When I first came to the US as a student, everything was new to me.
I really enjoyed every single day in the new environment, so I was thinking “Everything in the US is just great!”
Since I lived in Japan for a couple of years and came back here again, my views on the U.S has become more cool-headed.
I noticed that my country where I can always go back is very mindful, clean and peace.
And that is a very fortunate environment.
Japan has its own good attributes.
With the thought, I think I can expand my possibilities more and more.
I will keep working hard on my research!
