To continue the blog, Worries of Raising Kids in a Foreign Country, that I wrote 2 weeks ago, I actually have one more major worry of having a kid. That is, what if the baby Mizuki and I have is born with disabilities.

It’s Jeff today. Today I want to share a story of how Mizuki and I see one thing so differently. I would like to share one of those stories with you.
3 months has passed since we got married. Since we lived together for 4 years, I thought nothing would be changed after marriage. However I really feel it is totally different because I changed my family name and spend more time at home. When I look back over the past, our life was not always good. Especially we had so many arguments in the first year Jeff moved to Japan. We even faced the situations like “this relationship ends here.” However, the reasons we can still be together, I believe we changed and made some rules to get to know each other better.
My research sponsor, DUSKIN AINOWA Foundation, told me that I should have the basic information about people with disabilities of Japan before going to the U.S, or I won’t be able to share anything with professors over there. Therefore, since last month, I have visited people who have researched or worked on improving employment of people with disabilities for long time.
The other day, I went to the monthly lecture of Katsuma Academy which is organized by Ms. Kazuyo Katsuma, a famous Japanese business woman. Jeff is a big fan of her and has joined this academy after moving to Japan. This time he invited me for the first time by using “friend invitation ticket”.
I have been thinking about having kids and raising them after getting married with Mizuki.
To be honest, I am actually quite worried about raising a kid in a foreign country.
Mizuki has been worried about me that if I will be alright to live alone in Tokyo while she is doing research in the U.S.
It has been 4 years since I first moved to Japan but I am still struggling with Japanese.
I wore a special wedding dress the other day for photo shooting of Co-Co Life.
This wedding dress is designed for Moon Rider. Easy to wear, but still really beautiful.
I have heard of this dress before, but I didn’t expect I would wear it in person…!
