This news shook not only Japan but also the world. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On the day of the event, I was in Washington DC attending an annual conference of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncil.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\"> National Council on Independent Living<\/span><\/a>. Two American ladies with disabilities shared their experiences of visiting Japan this summer saying \u201cJapanese people are very kind to people with disabilities.\u201d The word made me very happy as a Japanese person. With the feeling I went back to my hotel and checked web news\u2026and found Sagamihara stabbings. Living is a basic human right. Everyone gets the right to continue living. People with disability do as well. Please check the clip out from here.
