It has been 3 weeks since I moved to Syracuse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Time flies so fast! It has been 2 weeks since Jeff went back to Japan. <\/span><\/p>\n

We miss each other, of course. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, we recall the feeling of having long distance relationship because we did it for 4 years before. It is nostalgic.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The time difference between New York and Tokyo is 13 hours now. <\/span><\/p>\n

(It changes\u00a0 once a year by season.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Day-night reversal. <\/span><\/p>\n

When I wake up at 7am, Jeff eats dinner at home at 8pm. <\/span><\/p>\n

When Jeff gets up at 5:30am, I am waiting for a bus to go home at 4:30pm. <\/span><\/p>\n

He is a morning person and doesn\u2019t have much overtime at work. <\/span><\/p>\n

I go to work in late morning and go back home around 4:30-5pm-ish. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our daily schedules somehow work out pretty well to call each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the things has been changed from 4 years ago is the tool for international phone call. <\/span><\/p>\n

We used to use Skype a lot. But now we use FaceTime!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Skype is still good. I sometime use it even now. <\/span><\/p>\n

However for Mac or iPhone users, I highly recommend to use FaceTime. <\/span><\/p>\n

Good video quality, and the sound is very stable.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am not not familiar with technology products, but Jeff recommended Apple product very much.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why I changed to iPhone and MacBookAir from my old phone and PC. Maybe it was planned for this long distance relationship\u2026lol<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For people in a long distance relationship, please let me know if you know any good tools to communicate with your partner in a foreign country.<\/span><\/p>\n
