Hi, it\u2019s Mizuki.<\/span><\/p>\n

The date I will leave for the US will soon be finalized.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t really worry about living or researching in the U.S., but I worry about being in a long distance marriage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

People often say, \u201cYou must be lonely.\u201d, \u201cIs Jeff alright by himself?\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To be honest, I feel lonely.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tears will come out if I think about this seriously.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore I keep myself busy so I will not to think about the upcoming sadness too much.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When I applied for Duskin Ainowa (the sponsor of my research) 1 year ago,<\/span><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t really think through the idea of\u00a0 going abroad by myself because I focused on chasing my dreams so much.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, when I received the acceptance letter from the sponsor, I felt happy and sad at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLong distance life, again.\u201d I thought.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Jeff has lived in Japan for 4 years, and I know he is totally fine by himself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I also know that 1 year passes so fast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1 year, however, a lot of things can happen.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can\u2019t do things we have always been doing together.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I feel depressed when I imagine the long distance relationship life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n

\n

Since Jeff moved to Japan, I was able to explore more physically and mentally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He took me to the places I would not have gone by myself or with my girl friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

(For example, Yoshinoya. A Japanese fast restaurants which Japanese young girls don\u2019t go because dining there will make them \u201clook bad.\u201d )<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, he inspired me all the time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I became to think things more deeply. We discuss about many topics at home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, I made many new friends through Jeff.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We had many arguments too. (hahaha\u2026)<\/span><\/p>\n

By doing so, however,<\/span><\/p>\n

the gap between us was getting smaller, I guess.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can be still together, thanks to Jeff\u2019s big heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this coming year,<\/span><\/p>\n

we cannot celebrate right next to each other on\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

our birthdays,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Christmas,<\/span><\/p>\n

New Year\u2019s day,<\/span><\/p>\n

Valentine\u2019s day\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Though, I believe that we both can surely grow up this 1 year.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We thought we were gonna get married after I finish my research in the US,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

but eventually we ended up getting married before that,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and I feel a stronger connection with him than before.<\/span><\/p>\n
