Our 4th Year of Long Distance Relationship@Danshui, Taiwan<\/div>\n

Well…I’ve done this, but I really think that a long distance relationship with a time difference is not easy.<\/span><\/div>\n

Jeff and I were in a long distance relationship for 2 years between U.S. and Taiwan, 2 more years between Japan and Taiwan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The time difference between Japan and Taiwan is only 1 hour.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, between U.S. and Taiwan….it’s 12~13 hours. <\/span><\/p>\n

When I wake up in U.S., it’s time for bed for him in Taiwan. <\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn’t that hard for us because I was a student in U.S. and the schedule was so adjustable to talk with him on Skype. <\/span><\/p>\n

But I don’t know if I can still live like that after starting working.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During my visit to U.S. last month, he had to work so I couldn’t give him a call even once. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since we have lived together for 3 years, I know how he lives everyday. <\/span><\/p>\n

I can expect that “he will go to bed soon” or “he is getting ready for work now” something like that. <\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore I didn’t wanna bother him by my call. Maybe I became mature now…!?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

These are 3 tips I believe for keeping a good long distance relationship.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Both live for same goal(s)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Talk (communicate) each other even for short time everyday<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Visit constantly each other even for a couple of days\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

From my experience and my friends’ situation, I can tell that the couples who one person is trying hard and his\/her partner is not on the same page wouldn’t last long. “Both” should try to connect each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

I understand how the couples in long distance relationship feel everyday. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes feeling lonely by being alone and missing him(her). <\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes feeling envy by looking at couples who are not in long distance relationship. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When I feel lonely or sad, I always tried to think that <\/span><\/p>\n

“my boyfriend is the best man in my life, so I don’t care about anything else. He is the one whom I can really trust and respect. He cannot be compared with other guys around me!” <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I kept saying that in my heart and spent 4 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have friends who married after long distance relationship and live happily. <\/span><\/p>\n

I’m also having a wonderful life with him everyday too. <\/span><\/p>\n

So, please hang it there, people in long distance relationship! <\/span><\/p>\n

If you continue this, you eventually will find a great goal for you two.:) <\/span><\/p>\n
