~Continuously on the post yesterday~<\/p>\n

Eating white rice for breakfast is heavy<\/span><\/h4>\n

Taiwanese usually don’t eat white rice for breakfast. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of them eat rice gruel or hamburger (like a sandwich) outside home. <\/span><\/p>\n

When I visited Taiwan before, Jeff took me to a hamburger place in the morning. <\/span><\/p>\n

I said “Oh..hamburger is kinda heavy for breakfast….”, <\/span><\/p>\n

then he said “You eat white rice for breakfast! That’s heavy!” <\/span><\/p>\n

For Japanese, eating white rice for breakfast is very common. lol<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crazy about my dumplings<\/span><\/h4>\n

I don’t like to cook that much but I always helped my mom for making dumplings when I was little. <\/span><\/p>\n

So I feel dumplings is not something I should buy at supermarket but I should make by myself. <\/span><\/p>\n

In Taiwan, less family cook and eat at home. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jeff’s mom cooks more than other Taiwanese, but still only for couple time a week. <\/span><\/p>\n

So very few young girls can make dumpling in Taiwan, Jeff always admires me for making ones by myself like I’m genius or something. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since he loves my dumplings, they are gone very quickly even if I make lots because he eats 20 or more at one meal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well I’m always glad to see his happy face though.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Feel uncomfortable with bringing umbrella<\/span><\/h4>\n

His hometown is Keelung, next to Taipei city. <\/span><\/p>\n

More rainy days than sunny days in the city. <\/span><\/p>\n

So he is very used to get wet and doesn’t like to carry umbrella. <\/span><\/p>\n

The other day, he was saying “I would leave umbrella somewhere on purpose if I need to bring it more than 2 hours.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sensitive to the cold<\/span><\/h4>\n

Taiwan doesn’t have clear four seasons like Japan. <\/span><\/p>\n

It has long summer and very short autumn season. <\/span><\/p>\n

And go back to summer again. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore Jeff is very sensitive to winter in Japan. <\/span><\/p>\n

During very cold season, he wears 2-3 underwears and then put clothes on. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, he looks happy when he sees snow, because Taiwan has no snow;)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Japan and Taiwan is very close but we have many cultural differences.<\/span><\/p>\n
