{"id":8498,"date":"2016-03-09T18:00:36","date_gmt":"2016-03-09T23:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moonrider7.com\/en\/?p=8498"},"modified":"2016-03-29T01:14:13","modified_gmt":"2016-03-29T05:14:13","slug":"i-was-interviewed-by-junglecity-a-local-media-in-seattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moonrider7.com\/en\/2016\/03\/09\/i-was-interviewed-by-junglecity-a-local-media-in-seattle\/","title":{"rendered":"I Was Interviewed by \u201cJunglecity\u201d, A Local Media in Seattle!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"s1\">Hi,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is Mizuki! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In my previous article about visiting Seattle \u201ctrailer\u201d,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I mentioned that I had opportunities to be interviewed by local media in Seattle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This Monday, the first interview article was released in \u201cJunglecity\u201d, which is the biggest information website for Japanese readers in Seattle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6893\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6893\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6893 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/moonrider7.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/\u30b9\u30af\u30ea\u30fc\u30f3\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30c8-2016-03-08-23.28.30-500x328.png\" alt=\"Junglecity_Mizuki_Moon Rider\" width=\"500\" height=\"328\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6893\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Top page of Junglecity<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWhy Japanese language in Seattle?\u201d Some people might be wondering why. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Historically Seattle and Japan has strong connections. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to Japanese embassy in Seattle, there are about 12,500 Japanese people live in Seattle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That is why Seattle has some Japanese media and many Japanese communities! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While I was in Seattle, I was able to make many new Japanese friends too. hahaha.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The interview article by Junglecity, includes<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\"> the stories of my childhood when I thought I couldn\u2019t have a dream to finding differences between US and Japan when I studied abroad,<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">the reality of employment for people with disabilities in Japan when I did job hunting in Tokyo,<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">my discoveries through my current research in the US.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I can say that you will be able to know about my whole life if you read this. This is very detailed and well written article about my life and experiences so far. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thank you very much, Junglecity!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Before I came to the US, my friend asked me, <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI got to know your strong passion for employment for people with disabilities. But, how many people with disabilities in Japan do have the same thought as you and taking actions to change the situation?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Honestly I lost a word. But replied to my friend. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cPeople with disabilities who feeling same way and taking actions\u2026only me among people that I know! But I believe more people with disabilities would speak out <strong>\u201cThis is not right\u201d<\/strong> in the future. So, someone who already found issue need to start taking an action.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That was my quick answer that came up in my mind, but that was my honest thought. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Since the interview article was released, I have emailed to share it with people and companies in Japan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I have received more feedbacks than expected, and really feel my works are paid off a little bit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">5 months have passed since I got Syracuse, I sometime feel lost and am not sure if what I am doing is meaningful to someone. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But I still move forward with my original passion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The interview article in Junglecity is here.
