Washington DC trip in July 2007

~ Continued from yesterday’s post ~

I realized that “I tend to doubt Jeff because I don’t have confident in myself”,

and started thinking that “even if he is a bad guy, I still wanna know real him!”

After that, I talked to Japanese senior students and other international students who had spent some time with him.

The surprising thing was that nobody said his badmouth but all said “Jeff is a great guy!” with smile.

Not many people would be described like this, so I could start seeing him a little bit more positively.

The decisive happening was the day I went to the park to join the student activity with American students.

Jeff was there too.

The students’ bags and backpacks were put on the bench, and some students started moving them to the grass to do something.

I was looking at Jeff helping the students from a distance.

And I saw he put his backpack on the grass and put my bag over his backpack, not to make it dirty.

It wasn’t like he did a nice thing because I was nearby.

He had done that naturally because he noticed it was my bag and his personality was actually really nice to act like it.

From the moment, I started believing 100% that he is a really great guy!

Just 2 weeks after we first met, he officially asked me out and we started dating.

Although I doubted him a little at first, Jeff is a really sweet and nice guy now and forever!

I can introduce him to anyone at anytime with my confidence.

All men and women of all aged I introduced to love Jeff very much.

I think I chose a right person:)

A couple of years later, when I told Jeff that I was doubting him at first, he laughed at me so much.

And he said, when he saw me at first, 9 months had already passed since he got US.

Therefore he didn’t think about my disability or wheelchair particularly.

Although it’s kinda embarrassed to write this by myself, actually it seems he saw me talking to my friend at the cafeteria, before we met at the party, and he was attracted to my smile. hehehe

My heart was overflew to hear that.

And I really thanked God that I could find someone like him in the world.

Taiwan and Japan are very close geographically, but we wouldn’t be able to meet each other in neither country, but in US, far far away from Taiwan and Japan.

Also we wouldn’t be able to date if we wouldn’t see each other at that timing.

Although I couldn’t have any experiences of relationship till 20 years old, I think God wanted to give me this special love badly, so he didn’t give me regular love chances before seeing Jeff:)

For all moon riders who don’t have boyfriend/girlfriend, please don’t give up dating someone!

There should be someone who loves you regardless whether you have a disability or not in the world!
