Hi, it’s Mizuki.
I started researching at Burton Blatt Institute (BBI) from this week officially.
Although I use the word, “research”, I am totally a beginner in the field of research.
The major I pursued in University of Wisconsin is NOT the same as the one I am going to research this time.
What can I accomplish in 1 year?It seems long but I feel it is going to be very short.
I cannot conclude in my head, so I spend more time on getting advices from other professors and researchers recently.
I think I should not stay quiet when I don’t know how to explain my thoughts clearly.
If I have something I want to know, it’s really important to try to explain even with poor choice of words.
If I am undergraduate student, I go to classes at the scheduled time, take tests, get scores, get credits, and graduate = receive a degree (GOAL).
However, being a researcher is totally different.
Set a topic and goal, and manage time and schedule by myself.
I manage myself.
That means I cannot move to a next stage without asking questions I want to know.
It has been 6 years since I left Wisconsin, so my English is not as good as before.
However, I shouldn’t be shy , and should talk to as many people as possible.
I believe I can figure something out soon!!
For your info, my profile is on BBI website now! YAY!
I’m moving forward with a lot of supports from a lot of people.
I am very grateful. Thank you!
