I would like to introduce the hotels I stayed in Minnesota. In the U.S., there is a wheelchair accessible room (ADA room) at every hotels. We do have the same kind of room in Japan called “barrier free room”, but usually we need to pay more to stay in those rooms. Here in the U.S. you can request a wheelchair accessible room at booking or checking in, and usually you are not charged extra payment under ADA.

The tires of my wheelchair needed some air already. The flat tires make it hard to move around (just like what a flat tire does to a bicycle) and more difficult to go uphill. In fact, there are several kinds of valves for tires. The most common one in Japan is dunlop valve which is not common in the States.

Outlet malls are getting popular in Japan as well, but outlet malls in the States are too huge to check everything in 1 day. You’d better to decide the shops to visit in advance. I love shopping clothes in the States. One of the reasons is this – fitting rooms for wheelchair users!
