What Is The Difference Between Chance and Opportunity?

One day when I was talking to a teacher in a CSR seminar, I was suddenly asked,

“What is the difference between chance and opportunity?”

I could not tell the difference of these 2 words.

The teacher told me, chance is random. It sometimes happens when your competitor makes an mistake.

Opportunity is something you work for and earn.

The teacher also told me that I might think most events in my life happened randomly but they are, in fact, earned.

I worked hard and now I have good opportunities.

Opportunities does’t visit people who are slacking at work.

I have been following my heart and come this far.

I have to admit that I have caused a lot of troubles to people around me along the way.

I have been doing things that I really like so I don’t really feel I am “working hard.”

But things have turned out that way I want them to be.

I guess my hard work has brought me many opportunities.

To me, success means doing something I really enjoy doing.

My effort brings me opportunities and those opportunities lead me to success.

It appears that I was able to continue this good cycle without even realizing it…..
