 I really feel that the words Jeff chooses and the way he talks are really kind everyday.

The word he often uses and I love to hear is “us”.

When we go out together, we often encounter inconvenient situations since I use wheelchair.

In those cases, he says;

“This restaurant might not be convenient for ‘us‘.”

“This part will be difficult for ‘us‘ to join.”

“There should be another route for ‘us‘.”

He wouldn’t say

“This restaurant might not be convenient for ‘you‘.”

or

“This part will be difficult for ‘you‘ to join.”

Japanese people often omit to say an object person like

“This restaurant might not be convenient.”,

but he doesn’t talk like that either.

The way he talks hasn’t changed since we met in 2007.

When we were communicating in English then, he already said like;

“That place might not be convenient for ‘us‘.”

He first might be thinking a sentence in Chinese which is his mother language or in English which is easier to use for him than Japanese, and then translate to Japanese.

So he would say an object person every time.

In that case, still I really love to hear the sound of “us“.

Because I feel that he is telling me like “Let’s find another way ‘together‘.” and I am so loved:)
