３. ジェットコースターような人事辞令
日系大手企業は改善をするために１年～２年１回に会社の人事異動をしているようです。
ある人は自分自分の希望を叶うために行きたい部署への異動を申請します。
ある人は自分が行きたくない部署に出向させます。
日本の人事は巨大な力を持っているようですね。
私ある日系EC企業（一応はIT業界）３回くらい面接をいただきまして内定もいただきました。
応募した仕事はECコンサルタントなのに内定をいただいた私にシンガポールで飲食店のスタッフとして働いて欲しいと言いました。。。。
あの時さすが日本！！明日何がおこるはわからないですね！！と思いました。
日本のHRは凄くクリエイティブです。（いい意味でです。）
メリット：
日本で働くは絶対つまらなくならないですね。
私は見た例は、あるシニアSE総理部の人は会計に異動されていました。
また、ある営業職の人はITインフラ部のSEに異動されたことです。
この二人とも楽しく仕事をしています。
デメリット：
こういう働く環境で本当に来年は何になるどこにいるのはわからないですね。
（半沢直樹のドラマみたいに、出向させたらどこに引っ越さないと行けません。）
ちなみに、私は前の仕事で１２ヶ月間に３回も仕事の部署変更をされて仕事内容が凄く変更してしまったことありますね。
以上は私見た、経験したことです。
４. プライベートライフを捨てましょう！
日本で「仕事」ということは凄く重要な存在です。
（どこでも同じ重要なんですが、日本はちょっとレベルアップ感じですね。）
仕事で給料を貰うだけではなく仕事（する人）は会社の利益を支えて日本の経済を押して前に進みます。
日本１億３千万人の幸せを支えています。
なので仕事は凄く重要です。
だからプライベートライフより仕事ライフを優先しています。
土曜日朝に仕事の電話がかかって来るのは普通です。
たまに日曜日出勤も普通です。
休みの日に出勤時間長くなると会社のポジションも高くなりそうなことですね。。。。
メリット：
日本は仕事マニアックの天国です。。。。。
一日２４時間/１週間７日働いてもだれも止めてくれないので、どうぞ死ぬまで働きましょう。
デメリット：
心の問題（人生生きている意味？仕事のみ？わからなくなる）
５. 長～～～～～～～～い労働時間
日本の普通出勤時間はたいだい９：３０から１８：３０までその中に１時間のランチタイムです。
しかし、残業というものはよくあります。
よく見てください、夕方６時くらい駅にスーツを着ている人は少ないでしょう。
だいたい９時から酔っているスーツを着ている人の姿が見え始めますね。
次のピークは１１時から終電まで（去年の私）ですね。
最後は夜の３時くらい働いている人たち電車がないからタクシーで自宅へ帰って、お風呂場かこたつで寝てしまって、明日７時くらい起きて会社に急ぎ走っていく人たちですね。
メリット：
もしありましたら、ぜひ教えていただきたいです。
デメリット：
健康問題、体力が減る。
私１年間２回じんましん出たことあります。（涙。。。）
以上は私の目の中の日本の職場文化です。
もちろん以上は私の経験のみですね。
「日本にある企業全部はこの感じの会社です」と言うのが目的ではなくて、ただ私の経験をシェアしたいです。

3. Exciting HR Rearrangement
Large companies in Japan usually rearrange its work force to improve organization performance once a year or in couple years.
Some people applied for transferring to other departments they wish to work for and they got what they want, some were forced to be transferred to a department they don’t like to work for.
It seems the HR is a very important existence for in Japanese working force.
There was one time I got offer from a IT company, where I applied for a EC site consultant position.
I was so excited that I were to get the job that I really wanted.
However, it turns out the company wanted to send me to sell noodles in Singapore………
I was really shocked and impressed by Japanese’s creativity in HR management.
- Pros
You will never get bored and you will get a lot of chances to challenge yourself.
I have seen a senior programer being transferred to administration department doing accounting.
I have also seen in sales person being transferred to IT infrastructure department and being given important tasks, like maintaining servers oversea. Both of them are very happy.
- Cons
But it is extremely difficult to forecast where you might ended up with.
You might be programming some applications in the first few years, and get transferred to help out the company’s internal restaurant later on.
Remarks: These examples in my article are very real.
However, I still cannot believe that these cases exist.
It might be just me experiencing extreme and rare cases. I personally experienced 3 dramatical job description changes within 12 months in one company.
I would be appreciated if you can leave a comment and tell me your experience that is different from mine.
4. Abandoned Private Life
“Jobs” seems to be viewed as a very important thing in Japanese culture.
Because it not only pays the bill but also generates revenue for companies pushing Japanese economy moving forward, also supporting thousands households’ living.
It is not that difficult to understand Japanese people give “jobs” a very high meaning.
Most of Japanese people value their work more important than their private lives.
It is very common to answer business calls on Saturday morning and go to work on Sunday afternoon.
The more time you spend in the office in your day-offs seems to raise your importance in a company.
- Pros
If your job is what you really love and enjoy doing.
Working in Japan might be perfect for you because you can work 24/7.
No one will stop you. You might get promoted very fast.
- Cons
There are just so many other things in life worth of experiencing.
I cannot stop wondering that it might be a waste to spend too much time on one thing.
Actually, with more time spent for private life might increase creativity and performance at work.
5. Long Working Hours
It seems very common to work at least 11-13 hours a day in Japan.
The most common working hours in Japan is from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, with 1 hour lunch break.
But it is very common to see people work over time.
I don’t really see people dressed in suits at train stations at 6-7 pm, because they are still working at that time.
Some of them got off around 9 pm, some 11 or 12 pm, and some of them work until 3 or 4 am and sleep in their companies.
- Pros:
………….Please contact me if you know there is any pros to this phenomenon.
I am afraid I know none.
- Cons
Decreasing physical ability.
Increasing mental and physical diseases.
Urticaria stroke me 2 times in a year!
I even had some emotional management issues in my dark times in Japan.
The above is based on my personal experience, which might not apply on all Japanese corporations.
But I do believe this will give you a good insight about Japanese’s working cultural differences.
Please share your thought if you are looking at Japanese corporations in a different way.
