私の通勤経路には、電車乗り換えなしコース（晴れの日用）と電車乗り換えコース（雨の日用）があります。
乗り換えなしコースは、都営地下鉄（東京都障がい者手帳があれば無料）で会社に一番近い駅まで行き、そこから地上を10分ほど行きます。
乗り換えコースでは、途中一回乗り換えがあるのですが、下車駅までずっと地下移動で、会社も駅に直結してるので、会社に着くまで雨に濡れることはほぼありません。
車イスユーザーは電車乗り換えに時間がかかります。
１つはエレベーターに何度も乗る必要があるため（ラッシュ時は健常者の人もエレベーターを使用する人が多く１回目で乗れない）、
もう１つは乗車駅・下車駅の駅員さんが互いに連絡が取れないと乗せてもらえないためです。
なので乗り換えコースと比べると、乗り換えなしコースはトータルで１０分ほど早く会社に着くことができます。
しかし先日、珍しいことが起こりました。
家と出る時は曇りだったので乗り換えなしコースで行ったのですが、下車駅では大雨になっていたのですΣ(ω |||)
タクシーを拾おうとしても、少し道路近くに出ましたが結構濡れてしまいました。
他にもタクシーを拾うおうとしている人が多く、いつまで待てば乗れるのか分からない状態でした。
周りの人はみんな自分の会社に向かって黙々と歩いていて声を掛けられない様子…。
「どうしよう」と思いながら屋根のある近くのビルでうろうろしていると、ビルの壁を拭いている掃除をおじさんを発見しました。
「この人しかいない！」と思い、「すみません、タクシーを拾っていただけないでしょうか？」とお願いしてみました。
すると何の迷いも無く笑顔で「いいですよ！」と言ってもらえました(･´ω｀･)
おじさんは仕事中なので、もちろん傘はもっていません。
掃除用の雑巾をもったままササッと道路の方に行き、雨に濡れながらタクシーを拾ってくれました。
私はその姿に本当に感動しました。
私も笑顔で「ありがとうございました！」と言ってタクシーに乗り込みました。
その日は１日雨でしたが、気分は本当に爽やかでした♪
わたしもあんな風に困っている人をササッと助けられる人になりたいです。
I have 2 routes to go to my company.
The first route is to take Toei subway and get off at the closest station to the company and I go by wheelchair for 10 mins on the street (I call it sunny day course).
The second one is to take Toei subway and Tokyo Metro.
Although I need to transfer one time, everything is connected underground, so I will not get wet on rainy day.
My company is connected even to the station (I call it rainy day course).
For Moon Rider (=wheelchair users), it takes more time to transfer from train to train.
The reasons are;
1) I need to take an elevator to the transferring level and ticketing level.
And in Japan, many non-disabled people take an elevator, so I have to be in the waiting line for a while especially morning rush-hour.
2) If I need a help by station staff for the board which can be like a bridge between a platform and a train door, I have to wait until the staffs between departure and arrival stations checked each other about which train/door I will be in.
Due to this situation, I can get the office 10 mins earlier if I go with the first route (sunny day course).
Anyways, one day, it was cloudy when I left home, so I chose to go with sunny day course.
However, when I got off at the station, it was raining so hard!
Even though I tried to catch a taxi by the street, I got wet even for 10 sec.
And some people were also trying to get a taxi, and I didn’t know when I could get my taxi…other people just kept walking to their office, and I couldn’t ask them for a help.
I was going around the building with a roof near the station exit.
Then I found a guy wiping the wall of the building.
“I gotta ask him for a help!” I thought, and “can you get a taxi for me?” I asked.
Then he replied quickly “sure thing!” with smile.
As he was working then, he didn’t have an umbrella.
He went to the street in the rain with a wiping cloth in his hand, and got a taxi for me right away.
I was so impressed what he had done, and said “thank you!” with smile.
Although it was raining for a whole day, I had a very pleasant day!
I wanna be a person like him who can help someone quickly at any situation.
