履歴書やパスポートなど証明写真が必要なとき、Moon Riderの皆さんはどうしていますか？
わたしはいつもカメラ屋さんで写真を撮ってもらっています。
車イスでアクセスできるし、撮った写真を事前に確認できて、納得できるまで撮り直してもらえるからという理由です。
先日も証明写真が必要になり、カメラ屋さんに行く準備をしていたのですが、
「わざわざ電車に乗って撮りに行くのは面倒だなぁ…」
という思いが過ぎりました。
「特に重要な書類のためでもないし、あまりお金をかけたくないなぁ…」
という思いも拍車をかけ、出かける準備が完全にストップしてしまいました。
そこでふと思い出したのが、近所にある証明写真ボックス。
歩ける人なら使ったことがある方も多いでしょうが、Moon Riderで使用する人は少ないのではないでしょうか？
一般的なものは車イスのまま入れないですもんね。
何とかボックス内に設置されたイスに移乗できたとしても、写真を撮るまでの操作がイスに座ったままで全てできるのかも分からないですし。
わたしもその一人でした。
不安はありつつも、今の自分にベストなのはあの証明写真ボックスだ！と思い、早速行ってみました。
ボックスの前に車イスを停めて、中に設置された鉄のイスに移動。
中は結構狭かったです。
画面の操作とお金を入れる部分はプリクラと同じような感じ。
「めっちゃ簡単やん♪」と思っていたらすぐ撮影画面になりました
。
…と、顔がちょうど良い位置に来るよう撮影画面に目安の点線が表示されました。
「あれ？このままだと低すぎる…！やばい！どうすんの？」と一人で焦っていると、
ドラマか何かでイスを回して高さ調節しているシーンをパッと思い出しました。
私は何かに捕まれば10秒くらいは立っていられるので、片手でパッとどこかに捕まり立ち上がり、もう片手でイスを高速回転！
「急いでイスを回さなきゃ撮影が始まってしまう！！」と必死で回しました（笑）
なんとか調整が間に合って３回撮影し、一番気に入ったものを印刷。
外に置いた車イスに戻り、印刷された写真を受け取りました。
びっくりしたのはそのクオリティ！
ボックスの写真は安いだけあってクオリティも良くないと勝手に思っていたのですが、すごーく綺麗に撮れました。
通常モードがすでに美肌設定になっていて肌が白い。
素直にうれしかったです（笑）
年を取ると新しいことにトライしたり、知らない場所に行くことを敬遠しがちですよね。
初めての証明写真ボックスは、たった５分程度で終わりましたが、私にとってはちょっとした冒険でした。
他人から見たらなんて事ないことかも知れませんが、自ら経験したことによって、自分で出来ることがまた１つ増えたのです。
このワクワク感を忘れずに新しいことに挑戦していこうと思います！
When you need to take an ID photo for passport etc., where do you go?
I usually go to a camera store and a staff takes one, because many camera stores are wheelchair accessible and I can ask for retaking a photo as many as I want.
I needed to take an ID photo the other day, but felt really lazy.
Then I just remembered a ID photo booth near my apartment.
I believe many people who are not moon riders have used this.
However, it’s inconvenient for moon riders because a general ID photo booth has a step in the front and a small locked chair inside.
We have to transfer to the chair from wheelchair when using it.
And even if we could, we cannot imagine how it’s gonna work inside.
So I don’t think many moon riders try this as a first option.
I haven’t done this before either, so I was still afraid to try, but too lazy to go to a camera store.
So I just decided to try the photo booth.
I parked my wheelchair in front of the booth, and transferred to the small iron chair.
The booth was so small. Selecting photo size and putting coins are as same as doing Purikura booth.
“It is so easy!” I thought.
But when moving to photo shooting, the screen showed the line which indicates my face should be located in the picture.
And my face was lower than the indication line.
“Omg, what should I do?”
I was confused. Then suddenly I remember the scene (maybe from TV drama?) that a person adjusted the chair height by rotating the chair in a photo booth.
Actually I can stand up for 10 sec. by holding something.
So I held somewhere inside of booth by one hand and stood up, and rotated the chair by another hand.
“I gotta adjust ASAP before photo shooting starts!”
I felt so rushed.
My try was successful and I took 3 pictures and selected one I liked in the end.
I transferred back to my wheelchair and received the printed pictures.
What surprised me was its quality!
I had thought that the quality of the photo booth is not that good because of lower price.
But actually really good. I love it so much!
As we get older, we tend not to try new things or go to new places, don’t we?
My photo booth experience was ended for 5 mins, but for me, it was a small adventure.
People might think it is nothing, however I tried and completed this mission by myself.
I got a new experience. How exciting!
I gotta continue challenging something new with this excitement feeling;)
